Day 1:  Immersion in Indigenous Culture

Morning:

Airport Pickup: Upon your arrival at the airport, we’ll warmly welcome you and kick-start our adventure.
Ecological Walk to Maloca (Tradicional indian house): A scenic taxi ride leads us to Terapacá, where our 2-hour ecological trek through the lush jungle to the Maloca Huitoto indigenous community begins. Along the way, immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity of the region while learning about timber trees and medicinal plants from our knowledgeable guide.
Introduction to Indigenous Culture: Upon reaching the Maloca, the traditional longhouse of the huitoto community, you’ll be greeted by the shaman or leader. Gain insight into their customs and traditions as they share the significance of this sacred space, including the use of ceremonial substances like Mambe and Coca.

Afternoon:

Traditional Lunch: Delight your taste buds with a hearty traditional lunch prepared by the owners of the Maloca.
Exploration of Chagra: Venture into the chagra, where traditional crops such as cassava, banana, and coca are cultivated. Engage with community members to learn about regional cuisine and participate in preparing dinner.

Evening:

Night Walk: As darkness falls, embark on a captivating night walk to discover bioluminescent mushrooms and nocturnal creatures dwelling in the jungle.
Accommodation: Rest in hammocks adorned with mosquito nets, lulled to sleep by the sounds of the jungle.

Day 2: Marasha Nature Reserve – Immersive Wilderness Experience

Morning:

Transfer to Marasha: After a wholesome breakfast, we’ll journey to Leticia port via taxi, followed by a shared boat ride to Marasha Nature Reserve in Peru.
Nature Walk: Trek through the jungle for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, absorbing the sights and sounds of the wilderness. Learn about indigenous flora and fauna from our expert guides.

Afternoon:

Activities at the Reserve: Following lunch at the reserve, engage in a variety of activities such as piranha fishing, birdwatching, or serene canoeing/kayaking on the Lake of Marasha.

Evening:

Caiman Spotting: As dusk descends, embark on a thrilling adventure to spot caimans in their natural habitat from the comfort of canoes.
Accommodation: Retreat to rustic cabins nestled amidst nature’s embrace.

Day 3: Jungle Camping at Yaguas – Cultural Encounters

Morning:

Boat Ride to Monkey Island: After breakfast, embark on a scenic boat ride to Monkey Island in Colombia. Feed the playful squirrel monkeys and relish the unique experience.

Afternoon:

Yaguas Village: Cruise to the Yaguas village, where you’ll interact with community members, partake in traditional dances, and take a refreshing swim in the river.

Evening:

Night Walk: Explore the enchanting jungle under the veil of night, discovering its hidden wonders and nocturnal inhabitants.
Accommodation: Embrace the wilderness with a night of camping in the jungle.

Day 4: Puerto Nariño – Vibrant Village Life

Morning:

Boat Ride to Puerto Nariño: Enjoy breakfast before setting sail to Puerto Nariño, arriving in time for lunch.
Village Exploration: Discover the charms of Puerto Nariño, from the Natatuma Foundation’s unique displays to panoramic views from the viewpoint.

Afternoon:

Dolphin Encounter: Take a boat excursion to witness pink and grey dolphins frolicking in nearby lakes as the sun sets, creating a magical atmosphere.

Evening:

Dining Experience: Conclude the day with a delightful dinner either at the hotel or by sampling local street food offerings.
Accommodation: Retire to a comfortable private room with a private bathroom in a hotel.

Day 5: Leticia – Thrilling Adventures

Morning:

Return to Leticia: After breakfast, embark on a scenic boat journey back to Leticia, soaking in the picturesque views along the way.

Afternoon:

Tanimboca Reserve: Visit the Tanimboca Natural Reserve for an adrenaline-pumping experience of zip-lining and canopy exploration.

Evening:

Farewell: Conclude our unforgettable journey with a sumptuous lunch at the reserve before bidding farewell to Leticia.
